The most wickedly roads of the world
Tags: nature, sick sad world
There is literally no way to be in a hurry when traveling these windy and potentially deadly roads. Some of these roads look so insanely dangerous as to verge on the suicidal. Hairpin turns are the least of your worries when you must also contend with no guardrails, steep roads and unpredictable weather. I wonder if the people who live in these areas have to take some of these hair-raising roads on a daily or weekly basis? Following the locals who routinely traverse these insane roads could be a reality show worth watching.
These roads can be found all over the world, including Europe, South America, the Middle East and Asia. However, the seemingly most dangerous road is probably the one in Pakistan. Would you ever consider driving on a one-lane road, with no guardrails that is hundreds of feet above the valley floor? The strangest road has to be the Gualiang Tunnel Road in China. The road is literally carved out of the side of the rock face and offers little hope of survival should you make any mistakes. Unsurprisingly, the road is referred to as “the road that does not tolerate any mistakes.”
